3' x 6' Custom Heavy Duty Banner - 18 oz Blockout

Our 3' x 6' heavy duty banners are printed full color on 18 oz blockout vinyl, built for banners that stay up for months on building fronts, fences and job sites. The thicker material resists tearing at the grommets and the blockout core keeps light from showing through when the sun is behind it.

UV inks hold their color outdoors, and every banner comes with welded hems on all sides and metal grommets every 2 feet unless you choose pole pockets or a different grommet layout.

Orientation: Horizontal or vertical.
Material: 18 oz blockout vinyl, indoor and outdoor.
Mounting Options: Metal grommets (every 2 ft all sides, top and bottom, left and right, or corners only), pole pockets, or wind slits.
Pole Pockets: Optional 2", 3" or 4" pockets, top only or top and bottom.
Printing: Single sided full color, UV resistant and weatherproof. Need both sides printed? See our double sided banners.

Logos/Artwork: Send us a fully designed banner or let our graphic department send you proofs based on your logo and banner requirements. No charge for layout unless it involves recreating a complex logo. Once the order is placed, reply to the order confirmation email and attach your artwork.
File Formats: Vector art works best in .eps, .ai or .pdf. You can also send a file at no less than 150 dpi at full size: .jpg, .png, .tiff.
Production Time: Fast production, 1-2 business days after your art is approved. Please let us know if you need expedited production.

Banner options explained

Banner finishing options: hem and grommets, pole pocket, wind slits, webbing and D-rings, Velcro, rope sewn in hem, reinforced corners and webbing

  • Which grommet layout should I pick? Grommets are metal rings set into the hemmed edge for rope, zip ties or hooks. Every 2 feet on all sides is the standard for fences, railings and walls and keeps the banner flat. Pick 4 corners only for indoor walls or short-term use, top and bottom for hanging between two lines, or left and right for mounting between two posts.
  • What are pole pockets for? A sewn sleeve across the top, or top and bottom, that a pole or rod slides through. Use them for banner stands, street pole brackets, parade poles or a weighted bottom rod that keeps the banner hanging straight. Pockets replace the hem on those edges.
  • What size pole pocket do I need? A 2" pocket fits a 1" diameter pole, a 3" pocket fits a 1.5" diameter pole and a 4" pocket fits a 2" diameter pole.
  • How do I set up artwork for pole pockets? Make your file the same size as the banner you ordered, with no extra bleed. A hem line runs across the graphic 2", 3" or 4" from the edge, matching the pocket size you pick, so keep text and logos clear of that band.
Pole pocket artwork setup: a 4 by 8 foot banner file at full order size, with dashed hem lines 3 inches from the top and bottom edges
  • Do I need wind slits? Wind slits are half-moon cuts that let wind pass through the banner. Pick them for building fronts, open lots and anywhere the banner hangs in steady wind. For long-term use on a fence or scaffold, a mesh banner handles wind better.
  • What is banner webbing? Webbing is a tightly woven 1" polyester strap sewn into the hems. It spreads wind and tension along the whole edge so no single grommet takes the load, and gives the grommets a strong layer to grip so they do not tear out. Pick it for banners over 32 square feet, construction fences, scaffolding, long roadside spans and windy, exposed sites.
  • What do D-rings add? Metal D-rings on webbing tabs at the corners give hooks, bungee cords and ratchet straps a solid anchor point.
  • When should I choose Velcro? A 1" Velcro strip sewn on all sides lets you attach and remove the banner from a matching surface without grommets.
  • When do I need rope in the hem? Rope sewn into the top, or top and bottom, hem is for hanging a long banner across a street or between buildings without relying on the vinyl edge.
  • What are reinforced corners? Extra layers at the corners, where the most strain lands. Pick them for street banners and anything that stays up through a season.
  • Who designs my banner? Send us a finished design, or our graphic department builds the layout from your logo and text. No charge for layout unless it involves recreating a complex logo.
  • Will I see a proof before you print? Yes, when you pick Email Me a Proof under Proofs. Production starts after you approve the art and takes 1-2 business days.
  • Can I reorder a banner I bought before? Yes. Under Previous Order Options, pick Repeat Previous Imprint Exactly, or Repeat With Changes, and enter your previous order number or date.
