Grip arms open automatically when the included USB-A-to-Type-C charging cable connects the phone mount to a power source. Once a phone is in the mount, the arms close automatically. Wireless charging then begins. The side grip button opens or closes the arms.

The 15W charging pad supports the listed compatible devices. These phone mounts work with most plastic phone cases on. A sturdy clip attaches the unit to a car air vent. Qi certification is listed. Plastic is the listed material.
