3" Aluminum Standard Sign Frame
The 3" Aluminum Standard Sign Frame is a durable aluminum post and rail frame built for permanent outdoor signage. Two 3" square aluminum posts and top and bottom aluminum T-rails hold your panel in place, and the whole frame is custom built to the size of your panel. Each frame is manufactured from aluminum with a durable powder-coated finish.

Sign Panel Size vs. Visible Area
The panel size and the visible area are not the same. Your visible area is smaller than the panel you order because part of the panel sits behind the rails and posts.
- Visible height = panel height minus 3.5" (1.75" behind the top rail and 1.75" behind the bottom rail).
- Visible width = panel width minus 3" (1.5" behind each post).
- A 24" H x 36" W panel shows about 20.5" H x 33" W. A 48" H x 96" W panel shows about 44.5" H x 93" W.
Keep your logo, text, and phone number inside the visible area. Do not add material to compensate: the panel stays at the size you order.
Installation
- Direct burial: set the posts at least 2' into the ground and secure them with concrete. This is the recommended method for a permanent installation.
- Post extensions (10' option): the 2' aluminum extensions set 2' into the ground in concrete and 2' up into the post, so an 8' post stands 8' above grade and the whole order still ships by ground. Sold as a set of 2 and included with the 10' post height option.

How soon can this ship?
- These are fabricated on order. Please allow 2-3 business days before shipping. Ground shipping times are 2-4 business days after fabrication.
How is this different from the Single Panel Architectural Frame System?
- The Single Panel Architectural Frame System uses a top cap that comes off with a screwdriver so the panel can be swapped without digging anything up. This frame uses top and bottom aluminum T-rails and is built to your panel size at the time of order.
Where can I get custom signs for this frame?
Where can I get a 48" or wider sign?
- We recommend finding a local sign manufacturer for signs of this size. This is because 48" wide signage must be shipped freight and would carry a $250-$350 shipping charge.
